Missionettes

Welcome to Bethel Fellowship Assembly of God's Missionettes’ Web page! You may be wondering what Missionettes is all about. Missionettes is made up of six clubs — five of which are just for girls, with the sixth club for boys and girls age 3-5.

Missionettes was started in the 1950s by the Women’s Ministries of the Assemblies of God as a place for women to mentor the young girls of the church, to teach them about missions and to prepare them for future involvement in Women’s Ministries (Titus 2:3-4). Along the way, many changes have taken place, but the ultimate purpose of Missionettes has never changed — winning girls to Jesus Christ and teaching them to live victoriously.

Missionettes is a place for girls in the church:

Missionettes learn valuable truths through Bible stories, Bible reading and completing activity or journal pages. While doing these, Missionettes earn badges, pendant charms or pins, and also do fun activities such as craft projects and going on outings.

Missionettes is a nationwide program with more than 174,000 members and 20,000 clubs across the country. There are uniforms that are worn, complete with navy blue sash or vest (for displaying badges), and jumper with a white blouse. The older girls (grades 6-12) wear a club-level T-shirt and pants (or a navy blue skirt for special occasions).

Missionettes 5-Fold Purpose

  1. Winning girls to Jesus Christ through love and acceptance.
  2. Teaching girls to obey everything Jesus commanded us — helping girls to develop spiritually and mentally.
  3. Providing encouragement, support and accountability through lasting Christian relationships.
  4. Providing an environment for girls to develop their gifts and abilities.
  5. Acquainting girls with the Great Commission of Jesus Christ our Lord.
